Homer Ray LeRoy was welcomed into his heavenly home by his Savior on Friday, March 29, 2024, following an extended illness. As a young man Homer accepted Christ into his heart, made a profession of faith and was baptized at First Baptist Church of Rogersville. Late in life during an evening church service at Regency Retirement Village Homer humbly rededicated his life. Homer was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Christabell LeRoy, brother Walt LeRoy and brother-in-law J.W.Davis.
Homer is survived by daughter Jennifer Clark, two grandsons, Blake and Caleb Hanson, brother Jim LeRoy (Joyce), sisters, Mary Davis and Linda Courtney(Roy), sister-in-law Ann LeRoy and many nieces and nephews.
During the past few years Homer resided at Regency Retirement Village where he was adored, loved, and treated like family by the nurses and staff. Each one blessed his life in countless and selfless ways. Caris Healthcare treated Homer in his final days with such kindness.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2024, in Broome Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2024, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Rodney Norris officiating. Burial will follow in McKinney Cemetery.
